Description
Lostwithiel allows you to explore the north and south coasts of Cornwall with equal ease, as the neck of land that travels down to Land’s End gets narrower and narrower.
16 Brunel Quays was originally a railway building, named after its designer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It has been restored to offer a high standard of accommodation, but retains many of its original features, such as arched windows and exposed stonework. The cottage has 4 bedrooms and will sleep up to 7 people, making it an idyllic retreat for large families or groups of friends. It also has a unique location, being bordered by the railway and its slow-passing trains on one side and the river quays on the other. The railway station is about 2 minutes' walk away, giving you access to trains that will take you to the major train stations and towns in Cornwall.

Gas central heating. Electric double oven, electric ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV, video, DVD player, stereo/CD player, WiFi. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Private, off road parking for 2 cars. Patio with garden furniture (unfenced river bank with 5 foot drop to river within 15 yards - children beware). Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops, pubs and restaurants 400 yards. Note: This property accepts a maximum of 7 people including infants. |

Lostwithiel (whose name derives from the Cornish 'lostwydhyel', meaning 'tail of a wooded area') is a small town in Cornwall, England. It is located at the head of the River Fowey within a few miles of Lanlivery, Tywardreath, Golant, Lanhydrock, Luxulyan, and Par and is one of over 250 towns and villages in Cornwall in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest official cities are Truro (population 20,920), Plymouth (population 243,795), and Exeter (which has a population of 106,772 according to the 2001 Census).
A visit here is well worth considering!
